As a key member of the Training Team, Lisa Birchall oversees the planning and organisation of all staff training and development initiatives, working closely with the Training Principal, Alum Ullah. Her responsibilities span every stage of the process for legal apprentices at Anexo Academy—from application and hiring to ongoing training—while also ensuring that all Trainee Solicitors, on either the Training Contract or SQE routes, receive the necessary support to meet SRA compliance and progress in their careers.
Lisa coordinates a wide variety of training sessions, including regular talks from external experts such as barristers and medical professionals, to keep the teams informed and engaged with the latest updates and best practice in the legal field. Her motivation comes from helping colleagues develop professionally, supporting their continuous growth, and guiding them through the qualification process so that it becomes a rewarding experience.
Lisa’s approach is centred on making sure every Apprentice and Trainee has the resources, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive and qualify as legal professionals. Lisa takes pride in her approachable nature, effective communication and strong organisational skills, which allow others to feel comfortable seeking support and advice as they advance.
What she enjoys most about her role is seeing individuals reach their qualification goals and continue to progress within the firm, contributing to both their personal success and the strength of our wider team.
Away from work, Lisa enjoys walking her dog, socialising with friends, reading, dancing, and keeping fit.
