Catastrophic Injury Solicitor

“Catastrophic injury can change lives in an instant, so I am proud to stand with APIL during Injury Awareness Week, which provides a powerful reminder of the devastating and life-changing impact catastrophic injuries can have, not just on victims, but also on families and communities.”

The Importance of Injury Awareness Week

Injury Awareness Week, led by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), is a vital opportunity to reflect on the profound consequences of serious injury—and to amplify the voices of those affected. At Bond Turner, we see the life-changing effects of catastrophic injuries every day. We are proud to support Injury Awareness Week and stand with those whose lives have been turned upside down through no fault of their own.

Our clients have a wide range of needs when it comes to their injuries, and we are dedicated to supporting them in finding the support and help they need from the start. Unfortunately, the wheels of justice can often move slowly, which is why it is so vital for our lawyers to understand the needs of our clients on their journey to recovery, and this is underpinned by our work with organisations like APIL.

Our Client

One such case is that of a young mother who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident when a driver pulled out from a side road into her path. The collision left her with multiple traumatic injuries: a head injury, fractures to her face, wrist, leg and hip, and visible scarring on both her face and leg. The physical damage was substantial, but so was the emotional toll.

With our support, interim payments were secured to ensure her recovery could begin without delay. This included a bespoke, multi-disciplinary rehabilitation package overseen by a dedicated case manager, and access to private surgery to address nasal deformity. Importantly, the interim payments also allowed her to take steps to rebuild her confidence—funding a tattoo to mask her leg scarring and helping her regain control over her appearance and self-esteem.

A Settlement That Supports Long-Term Wellbeing

A final settlement of £285,000, plus provision for future rehabilitative treatment, ensures that our client can access specialist camouflage make-up and ongoing therapies to support her long-term wellbeing.

This is just one example of how timely legal intervention and compassionate support can help someone take the first steps toward rebuilding their life. The journey is rarely easy—and having the right legal team can make all the difference.

As she shared with us:

“I had a great experience with my solicitor and with the whole team that attended to me from the beginning of my case to the end; they exceeded my expectations, always thinking about my well-being and my recovery, showing me the best way forward! I would like to thank the Bond Turner team for helping me in this very difficult moment I went through.”

Standing With Clients Every Step of the Way

During Injury Awareness Week, we highlight our clients’ stories. We renew our commitment to fighting for those affected by catastrophic injuries. And we remind everyone: injury doesn’t just affect the individual—it ripples through families and communities.

We’ll continue to do everything we can to support those affected—because no one should have to face the journey of recovery alone.
