My Work Placement Experience at Bond Turner

At Bond Turner, we are dedicated to supporting the next generation of lawyers and have a range of opportunities available for people at all stages of their careers, from school leavers, to graduates to those looking to take the next step in their qualifications.  

Alongside the work that we do as part of The Anexo Academy, we have supported a number of individuals with work experience placements, tailored around their aspirations and interests.  

Our Liverpool-based Clinical Negligence and Professional Negligence Teams recently welcomed Law student Oscar Terry as part of a work experience placement.  

Oscar’s Experience at Bond Turner 

Bond Turner appealed to me as a work placement as it specialises in both clinical and professional negligence; two areas of law which interest me personally and which I had not yet encountered on my university course. I have a connection who was successfully represented by the firm, and this gave me more of an incentive to apply for the placement to better understand how the whole claims process works.

The support I received over the duration of the placement was second to none. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating which contributed massively to my enjoyment of the experience. The biggest take away for me was immersing myself in new areas of law. The specialist areas that I discovered on my placement are now areas of law which I aspire to act in one day.

I would absolutely recommend undertaking work experience at Bond Turner. If you are lucky enough to be given the opportunity, grasp it with both hands. Unlike other experiences I have undertaken, this is very hands on, which makes you feel actively involved with the work and the cases you are working on, making the entire placement feel more rewarding.
